Current policy, effective 6 October 2026. This is the refund policy we apply today. If it changes we will update this page and its date. A refund question is answered by a person at support@selfmade.ninja.
1. Seven-day money-back on a new plan
If you buy a plan for the first time and it is not what you needed, tell us within seven days of the purchase and we refund the first month’s plan fee in full. The workspace is deleted when the refund is made. This applies once per customer and to the first month of the first plan bought; it is meant to remove the risk of trying the service, not to price a week of use at zero.
2. What is not refunded
- Usage. Charges that accrue as you use something — bandwidth beyond the plan, extra storage, extra addresses — are for things already consumed and are not refunded.
- Add-ons. The daily-snapshot add-on and other add-ons are not refunded once the period they cover has started.
- Prepaid balance. A top-up to your balance is not refunded, except where the law requires it. Spend it on the service.
- Renewals. A plan month that has started is not refunded. Cancel before the renewal date and it simply does not renew.
- Termination for breach. An account closed for breaching the Acceptable Use Policy or the Terms receives no refund.
3. If we end the service
If we withdraw a plan, close a region or stop the service — on the 30 days’ notice the Terms require — any period you have paid for and not used is refunded in full.
4. Outages
There is no service level agreement yet, so there are no service credits. We publish a measured availability record once we have 90 days of one, and a credit scheme will be set against that record. Until then, if an outage on our side cost you a material part of a month, write to us; we look at each case.
5. How a refund is made
Ask at support@selfmade.ninja from the address on your account, naming the invoice. Refunds go back to the payment method that paid, through our payment processor, and usually arrive within five to ten business days of our confirmation. A credit note is issued against the original GST invoice.
6. Chargebacks
Please write to us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback opened without contact suspends the account while it is investigated, and costs both of us more than the conversation would have.
7. Your statutory rights
Nothing here removes a right you have under the consumer-protection law that applies to you, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India.
